22. Mother

To Mum,
  I'm trying to express how much you mean to me.
I've tried writing down the first thoughts that come to mind.
Doctor Martens, scones and rings.
But that just doesn't seem to be what I want to say.

So I tried to write you a poem;

Mum, you're the simply best,
Better than all the rest.

But that doesn't seem to be it either, and may, in fact, already be a song.

I then tried again;

Dearest Ma,
Just wanted to say Ta,
And that I luv ya.

But again that didn't sit right either.

I've been thinking long and hard about what I want to say,
I've been thinking about it all day.
So I guess there's no other way for me to say,

Love you Mum.

Tyne xx
Bah!
Very hard rock to move!

But I do infact love my mother
And am very proud to say so!

Sweet and kind and God knows I have difficutly with this subject! I can't just find the right tone to do it.

I like the childlike tone used here and the adult undertone that I fell behind it.

I hope to come with something as good as well!

Cheers!
